Now That The First Inductees Have Been Announced...

The pre-selection portion of the second round of inductees is open!

To nominate a villian, several factors MUST be true.

This is a populist blog feature, meaning that nominees should be recognizable to a reasonable portion of the general public. What's meant be this is that there must be a reasonable chance that average joe blog reader would have ever heard of the villain you're nominating. One of The Flash's rogues gallery villains like "Mirror Master" is acceptable since despite being obscure, he's been in the live action Flash series and the animated Justice League Unlimited. A villain like "Razorback" who menaced Spiderman once in a single issue of the comic and turned out to be kind of a good guy would never be considered,

but "Electro" or "The Vulture" who have yet to make a movie appearance would be an acceptable nominee since they've been in the classic Spiderman cartoon and had innumerable appearances in the comics.

Another factor is that they must be DOMINANT. Just like sports halls of fame, The Supervillain Hall of Fame inductees must be dominant against one or more superheroes. It's no good nominating a villain that is nothing more than comic relief, trashed by the hero repeatedly and with ease.

Finally, with the possible exception of Lex Luthor and The Kingpin, The Supervillain Hall of Fame prefers to see colourful costomed villains rather than evil businessmen.

So please enter your nominees in the comments section and keep checking to see what's new here at The Supervillain Hall of Fame!

Hey Greybishop!

I came across this site; it may provide you with a few Villains.

I've always had a thing for Disney villainesses. Millificent from "Sleeping Beauty", the Evil Queen from "Snow White', Cinderella's stepmother - they all had a cool, stylish evil about them. Great role models.

Cruella DeVille. Oh yeah.

And she even had her own classic theme song.

Too bad you're not allowing evil businessmen, because I think C. Montgomery Burns belongs in your HOF. As you can tell, I'm not really into comic books. But I do love cartoons.

I love the idea of this site. I tip my hat to you GB. So hear is a list of some of the characters I think you need to consider:

Apocalypse. He has the four horsemen (and he usually uses the good guys to make up the four horsemen. That’s just good stuff)

Twoface. He's twisted. Done

Are you going to do teams? if so you need Hydra and the hand.

Oh yeah and definitely Sabertooth. Hands down one of the most evil villains ever. He kills wolvies ole girl silver fox and left her there for him to find as a birthday present. Nuff said.

I'll send more when I think of some good ones.

Later,
Padine

Thanks Padine! Tell everyone that might be interested! More votes = more credibility. Like the main blog before it, this spot is starting small, but I want it to go BIG!

Oh, don't sigh at me, GB. I know they're not the same guys, unless of course the old guy on The Simpsons is a really ancient supervillain. One assumes that retired supervillains go to the Retired Supervillains Leisure Village (located in Boca Raton, FL) and spend their days sitting on the benches at the mall and complaining abou the current batch of supervillains. And driving really, realy slowly. In the fast lane.
